The Target tab mainly provides a summary of the currently selected target, showing you information about it's SNMP or UPnP configuration.

 

Description

This field lets you configure a description or name for this target. The description is used throughout PeakHour to refer to the target, so it's recommended that you set something that is meaningful to you.

EnabledDetermines if this Target is enabled (visible) or disabled (hidden).
Hide if unreachable

If the device can't be found or is unreachable, hide it from the main view and (if enabled) the menu bar.

Note: If this option is enabled for the device which is being monitored by the Usage Monitor, the Usage Monitor will not be shown.

TypeThe protocol being used to monitor this device: UPnP, SNMP version 1, SNMP version 2, SNMP version 3
Description
  • (SNMP) The system description (technically, the value of SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr).
  • (UPnP) The friendly name
(SNMP) HostnameThe hostname or IP address
(SNMP) InterfaceThe name of the interface being monitored
(UPnP) AddressThe root UPnP URL for the device
(UPnP) UDIDThe Unique Device Identifier
